Schellenberg Wittmer announced new partner Gregory Strohmeier. The firm also appointed six new counsel across five legal areas.
Gregory Strohmeier – partner, real estate and construction, Geneva
Gregory Strohmeier specialises in real estate and construction law. His clientele, both institutional and private investors, benefits from advice on complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, financing, restructurings, joint ventures, as well as development projects. Gregory’s expertise also spans to real estate-related regulatory matters such as Lex Koller, Lex Weber, and environmental regulations.
As a Certified Specialist in Construction and Real Estate Law, he often advises and represents clients in high-value real estate disputes. His appointment is set to further solidify the firm’s real estate practice.
Fabio Elsener – Counsel, Banking & Finance, Zurich
Fabio Elsener is a specialist in capital markets, finance transactions, and financial regulation. He’s particularly active in the areas of FinTech, blockchain, and DeFi applications.
His advisory, both on transactions and on a strategic level, is targeted toward Swiss and international financial institutions and FinTech companies, and it focuse on regulatory matters, financial instruments, and structured finance transactions.
Endri Gega – Counsel, Dispute Resolution & White-Collar Crime and Compliance, Geneva
With nearly 15 years of experience in criminal law, white-collar crime, and compliance, banking & finance expert Endri Gega has been a protagonist of numerous high-stakes financial cases within an international context.
Before Schellenberg Wittmer, Gega worked both as a prosecutor and as a judge, broadening is perspective on the wider world of legal practice. The firms will now count on his advisory to further strengthen its white-collar crime and investigation practices.

An expert in both commercial and investment arbitration, Greg Lourie has represented clients across a wide array of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, technology, and energy.
His experience spans arbitrations governed by major institutional rules such as ICC, ICSID, and DIS, as well as UNCITRAL ad hoc proceedings. Lourie’s expertise in public international law stems from having advised and represented both states and state-owned entities. His appointment is set to further develop the firm’s arbitration practice.
Mélisande Nussbaum – Counsel, Real Estate & Construction, Geneva
Mélisande Nussbaumhas extensive experience in real estate transactions, including asset and share deals, as well as the legal management of commercial properties.
Known for her deep understanding of the real estate sector, Nussbaum has contributed to the firm’s cause for a decade, and is therefore recognized for providing tailored solutions to complex legal challenges.
Amalie Wijesundera – Counsel, Competition and Antitrust, Zurich
Amalie specializes in Swiss competition law, advising both domestic and international clients on key issues such as merger control, cartel investigations, and leniency procedures.
She also an expert in ICT and data protection law, adding a versatile edge to her practice. Before joining Schellenberg Wittmer, Amalie worked at the Secretariat of the Competition Commission of Switzerland.
