Schellenberg Wittmer turns ten in Singapore

Schellenberg Wittmer‘s Singapore office celebrates its tenth anniversary in the Asian country. In 2013, partner Philippe Borens opened the office and laid the foundations for a thriving business.

Partner Christopher Boog took over as managing director of the Singapore office following Philippe’s return to Switzerland in 2016. Under Christopher Boog’s leadership, the office grew to become the firm’s hub for international arbitration in Singapore and other Asia-Pacific markets, as well as assisting clients with inbound and outbound investments. Boog handed over the role of CEO to partner Julie Raneda at the beginning of 2023, although he will remain based in Singapore. Raneda has been part of the Singapore team for seven years and has extensive knowledge of the region.

Julie was elected Chair of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SwissCham Singapore) in 2023. She is the first female taking on the role. As partner, she will continue positioning the firm in the Asia-pacific region, while focusing on promoting Swiss businesses in Singapore and strengthening the links between the Swiss and Singaporean economies through SwissCham.
