Boehringer Ingelheim acquires Evax: the legal advisors

Boehringer Ingelheim, a globally active human and animal pharmaceutical company with headquarters in Ingelheim (Germany), completed the acquisition of Evax, a Swiss biotech company focused on equine health.

In connection with the deal, Schellenberg Wittmer advised Boehringer Ingelheim, while Homburger represented Evax.

The Schellenberg Wittmer team consisted of Pascal Hubli (overall lead), Florian Angstmann, Olivia Wipf, Filip Majernik, Nanina Lätsch and Caroline Genz (all corporate / M&A), Philipp Groz and Alisa Zehner (both IP/life Sciences), Petra Spring and Rachel Pawlik (both Employment), Roland Mathys and Jacqueline Brunner (both ICT/Data Protection) as well as Josef Caleff and Klaudia Bibaj (both real estate).

The Homburger team

The Homburger team advising the shareholders of Evax was co-led by Luca Dal Molin (IP/IT) and Karin Mattle (corporate/M&A) and included Florian Bruggisser, Matteo Gasser (both corporate/M&A), Reto Heuberger and Philippe Weber (both tax), as well as Philippe Baumann (IP/IT).
