Simon Hohler is Thouvenin’s new partner

Simon Hohler (pictured) has been promoted to a partnership position by Zurich-based firm Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte.

This decision follows a eight year time-span during which Hohler contributed to the firm’s cause between, and has been officially formalised on January 1st, 2025.

Simon Hohler’s expertise spans from commercial disputes before arbitral tribunals and state courts to enforcement and mutual legal assistance proceedings. He also specialises in managing disputes within a plethora of legal areas, including contract and commercial law, torts and insurance law, construction law, enforcement law, and M&A transactions.

Hohler’s arbitration expertise

Currently heading the Thouvenin Zug office, Hohler matured an extensive experience in arbitration and commercial disputes before state courts, by taking part in various and diverse institutional arbitrations, such as the Swiss Arbitration Centre, ICC, CAS, and HKIAC. He also participated in ad hoc arbitration cases, weather acting as a counsel, sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and chairman. Moreover, he’s the current Co-Chair of the ASA Local Group Central Switzerland, and A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators

He graduated in law from the Universities of Lucerne and Neuchâtel and holds an LL.M. in International Business Regulation, Litigation and Arbitration from the New York University School of Law. Hohler is also a graduate from the Swiss Arbitration Academy.
