Swiss law firms are going towards modernization, survey finds

32% of participants to a survey have already begun to modernize or plan to do so in 2020 and 87% consider that there will be fundamental changes in the legal service industry (this percentage reaches 100% in law firms with 11 to 100 lawyers). Those are the main figures that emerges from the first extensive survey in Switzerland about the adoption of new technologies by law firms.

The survey, which aimed to understand how the market will evolve and what opportunities have opened for Swiss lawyers, involved 14 768 replies from 464 SBA members and was conducted until November 2019. This survey has been carried out thanks to the cooperation between Swiss LegalTech Association and the Swiss Bar Association (Sba). They partnered also in order to educate and inform about the latest legal tech developments in the Swiss market.
