The advisors in Permobil’s acquisition of Rehateam and Progeo

Permobil AB of Timrå, Sweden, has signed an agreement for the acquisition of the shares in Rehateam S.r.l. and Progeo S.r.l. of Treviso, Italy with these companies’ shareholders. Permobil, which is held by Investor AB, is a global leader in advanced medical technology focusing on wheelchairs and mobility solutions. Rehateam and Progeo are developing, producing and distributing manual wheelchairs worldwide. The transaction is expected to close in June, subject to regulatory approvals.The parties have chosen not to disclose the terms of the transaction.

Permobil was assisted on legal matters by Pavia e Ansaldo with a team led by Sven von Mensenkampff (corporate, M&A) with Ilaria Stassano (corporate, M&A), Filippo Fioretti, Maria Rosaria Raspanti (both Merger Control and FDI), Valentina Simonelli, Rosy Schifino (both employment) and Arianna Paternicò (IP). Medical compliance was handled by Lugano based 1Med with Enrico Perfler and Marco Molinari. Stefano Solaroli of ProIter Ambiente assisted on environmental matters. Finance and Tax was handled by Ernst & Young. Jeantet assisted Permobil on French implications of the acquisition with Karl Hepp de Sevelinges and Ruben Koslar.

The sellers were assisted by Emanuele Licciardi and Roberto Parruccini of Fava & Associati Studio Legale.
