Thomas Brown is Lalive’s new managing partner
As of January 2025, Lalive‘s CEO Thomas Brown (pictured) becomes the firm’s new managing partner, becoming a partner in the process and replacing Domitille Baizeu, the now former MP. André Brunschweiler has also been promoted to deputy managing partner after four years as Zurich-based litigation group co-chair.
Domitille Baizeu, after ten years as managing partner, will become co-chair of the arbitration group, replacing Joachim Knoll. Meanwhile, Dominik Elminger takes the post of litigation group co-chair following André Brunschweiler’s promotion.
The new MP profile
Thomas Brown practised as a lawyer at Allen & Overy from 1989 to 2015, reaching the status of managing partner of the Asia-Pacific practice. His expertise lies in projects & finance, a practice he was a partner of at Allen & Overy for almost twenty years. Retiring from Allen & Overy in 2015, Thomas joined Lalive in 2016 to practice international arbitration. After work experience in the area, he became Chief Executive Officer of the firm in 2020.
