Walder Wyss and Bär & Karrer advised GetYourGuide

The financing round was led by Searchlight Capital and was joined by a consortium of GetYourGuide’s existing investors, including SoftBank Vision Fund, KKR, Battery Ventures, Highland Europe, Spark Capital, Lakestar, Heartcore Capital and NGP Capital, as well as the company’s own founding team and others. With this convertible note financing, GetYourGuide ensures that it can invest in strategic opportunities to cement its market-leading position and ignite post-pandemic travel demand.

The team 

Walder Wyss advised GetYourGuide in this transaction. The team comprises Florian Gunz Niedermann (Partner, Corporate/M&A – pictured) and Christian Lütolf (Managing Associate, Corporate/M&A). The Walder Wyss team already advised GetYourGuide in May 2019 in its series E financing round with an investment volume of $484 million.

Bär & Karrer also acted as advisor to GetYourGuide in this transaction. The team included Susanne Schreiber and Martin Leu (both tax).
