Walder Wyss advises AEW Energie on CHF 125 million debut bond

Last June 2022, AEW Energie has successfully placed a fixed-interest bond in the amount of CHF 125 million with a term of 7 years and a coupon of 1.5% led by Zürcher Kantonalbank.

The proceeds of the issue will be used to finance the shareholding in the Ryburg-Schwörstadt power plant. This was AEW Energie’s first bond, and thus a debut bond, to be issued and placed on the public capital market. With the acquisition, AEW can significantly expand its own production portfolio and increasingly supply its customers with renewable energy from the region. This bonus underlines the company’s commitment to sustainability.

Walder Wyss has advised AEW Energie on this transaction. The team included partner Lukas Wyss (pictured), Valentin Wiesner (managing associate) and Pascal Zysset (senior associate), as well as trainee Maximilian Schwarzenberger. All banking & finance.
