Walder Wyss advises Liberty Media on acquiring Dorna Sports
Liberty Media Corporation has announced its acquisition of Dorna Sports from Bridgepoint and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, S.L. Liberty are the exclusive commercial rights holder to the MotoGP World Championship.. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end 2024, subject to the receipt of clearances and approvals by competition and foreign investment law authorities in various jurisdictions. Liberty Media will acquire approximately 86% of MotoGP with its management retaining approximately 14% of their equity in the business.
