Walder Wyss represented SBB Cargo before the WEKO

The Competition Commission (WEKO) approved the participation in SBB Cargo through Planzer and Camion-Transport. The participation is carried out through the joint subsidiary Swiss Combi, in which Galliker and Bertschi are involved in addition to Planzer and Camion-Transport. According to the WEKO,  that has examined the operation in depth, the merger will not lead to the elimination of effective competition. That is why WEKO permits the merger. This decision will make it possible to improve SBB Cargo’s profitability and competitiveness and offer new services.

Walder Wyss advised SBB, SBB Cargo, Planzer, Camion-Transport, Galliker and Bertschi on this merger process and represented it before the WEKO. The team was led by Reto Jacobs (partner, competition and antitrust law) and included Gion Giger (managing associate, competition and antitrust law) and Felix Tuchschmid (trainee lawyer, competition and antitrust law).
