Walder Wyss advised Kowema on the sale of its subsidiary Diametal Group to the European private capital investor Lafayette Mittelstand Capital.
The parties
Founded in 1936 in Biel, the Diametal Group specialises in manufacturing high precision cutting tools, super abrasive wheels and wear parts. The Group employs over 170 people between two production facilities in Biel (Switzerland) and Oltingue (France).
Headquartered in Risch, Kowema was founded in 2007. The company offers Swiss pension funds investment opportunities in unlisted Swiss SMEs.
Lafayette Mittelstand Capital is a European private capital investor. Its focus lays upon investments in medium-sized enterprises with a substantial growth potential, mostly across the DACH region.
