Walder Wyss with with Jacobs Group on structure change

Walder Wyss advised the Jacobs Foundation, an organization supporting child development and evidence-based education, as well as professional investment firm Jacobs Holding, in their transition from an intertwined setup to two independent institutions.

The context

Pursuant to the operation, the Jacobs Foundation will assume full control over its assets. Moreover, Jacobs Holding, backed by members of the Jacobs Family, repurchased the equity interests previously held by the Jacobs Foundation.

The transaction was subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, including receipt of approvals from the competent authorities.
