Wenger Vieli Advised Quickmail & Quickpac on its Sale to Planzer
Wenger Vieli advised Quickmail and Quickpac, innovative leaders in the Swiss parcel and partially liberalized letter markets, on all Swiss legal aspects of their acquisition by Planzer, a Swiss family-owned logistics company.
Quickpac is recognized as an innovative tech startup focusing on the delivery of smaller parcels in German-speaking Switzerland, utilizing an all-electric vehicle fleet. This acquisition allows its customers to benefit from nationwide parcel logistics and additional services, with plans to merge with Planzer to one brand in the medium term. Also Quickmail specializes, since its foundation in 2009, in the delivery of mailings, magazines, and catalogs, serving over 3 million households throughout the country.
With this acquisition, Planzer expands its service offerings to include addressed and unaddressed mail in the partially liberalized letter market, whereas Quickmail shall remain a distinct brand and independent organization.
The team was led by partner Beat Speck (Corporate / M&A, pictured) and included amongst others Daniel Oehri (partner, Restructuring / M&A), Clara Bodemann (partner, Tax), Stefan Müller (partner, Employment), Alessa Waibel (senior associate, Financing), Fabienne Nufer (associate, Corporate / M&A), Patrick Kern (associate, Corporate / M&A), Kianoush Sadeghi (associate, Corporate / M&A) and Andrea Christen (associate, Notarial Services).
