Wenger Vieli advises Cibus Capital on its investment in Ecorobotix
Ecorobotix, the Swiss manufacturer of ARA, has completed a CHF 46 million funding round, jointly led by AQTON Private Equity and Cibus Capital, with additional investments from Swisscanto Invest/Swisscanto Growth Fund I, Yara Growth Ventures, Flexstone Partners, and from existing investors including Swisscom Ventures, BASF Venture Capital, 4FOX Ventures, and Verve Ventures.
Ecorobotix, manufacturer of an AI powered plant-by-plant recognition and ultra-high precision smart spraying system, has raised a total of USD 52 million in this funding round. The funds are intended to accelerate company’s geographic expansion across new and existing markets and accelerate new product development.
Wenger Vieli has acted as Swiss legal counsel to Cibus Enterprise Fund II on Swiss corporate and tax aspects on its investment in Ecorobotix. The team was led by partners Beat Speck (corporate m&a, pictured left) and Barbara Brauchli Rohrer (tax, pictured right) and included senior associate Michèle Joho-Menotti as well as associates Janica Wyss and Fabienne Nufer (all corporate/m&a).
