Wenger Vieli and VISCHER in the partnership of Cotta and L-GAM

As we have informed last 15th December 2022 here, L-GAM, a mid-market private equity investment firm, has invested in Cotta Group, headquartered in Bendern (Liechtenstein), alongside Peter Gschwend. AFINUM has sold its stake in Cotta Collection Upholstered Furniture-Group to L-GAM and to Gschwend.

Cotta is a manufacturer of upholstered furniture in the low to medium price segment with two plants in Poland and one plant in Romania. Over the holding period, Cotta massively expanded its market position and is now the European market leader with a comprehensive product range from sofas to armchairs and box-spring beds to case furniture. Today, the group produces in 14 plants in Poland, Romania, Hungary and Bosnia Herzegovina with over 5’000 people.

Wenger Vieli has acted as legal counsel to the shareholders of Cotta Collection a leading manufacturer of made-to-order upholstered furniture and related products, on their partnership with L-GAM. The firm is a long-term oriented investment company, which was established in 2013 with the backing of the Liechtenstein Princely Family and several families from Europe, Asia and the USA.
