Philippin, new president of the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne

Kellerhals Karrard‘s partner Edgar Philippin has been appointed new president of the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne. This appointment strengthens the Lausanne site’s links with local cultural institutions.

Edgar Philippin is a highly experienced advisor, expert and arbitrator in matters of corporate transactions (M&A), corporate governance and contract law. Philippin focuses on advising Swiss and international companies and organizations, particularly in the areas of corporate law, M&A transactions and commercial contracts. His experience also extends to domestic and international arbitration, mainly as an arbitrator or expert on Swiss law issues. As a professor at the University of Lausanne, his main areas of teaching and research are mergers, acquisitions, and takeovers, as well as general principles of private law.

He joined Carrard Paschoud Heim & Associés in 1999 (subsequently Carrard & Associés and, currently, Kellerhals Carrard), where his practice has been mostly transactional. Philippin has advised sellers and purchasers in acquisitions and mergers (domestic and international), helped corporations and investors structure financings, advised several companies on formation, corporate governance, employment and contractual issues.
