Walder Wyss advises on CHF 250m Liechtenstein Pfandbriefe issuance

Walder Wyss advised Liechtensteinisches Pfandbriefinstitut as issuer, as well as LGT Bank and Liechtensteinische Landesbank as member banks, dealers and managers, in connection with Liechtensteinisches Pfandbriefinstitut’s program and issuance of Liechtensteiner Pfandbriefe issued by Liechtensteinisches Pfandbriefinstitut.

The Liechtensteiner Pfandbriefe issued under the program will be indirectly backed by a portfolio of mortgages in accordance with the Liechtenstein Pfandbrief Act.

The context

On 24 April 2026, Liechtensteinisches Pfandbriefinstitut AG successfully closed its inaugural issuance of Liechtensteiner Pfandbriefe under the program in an aggregate principal amount of CHF 250 million, consisting of CHF 150 million Liechtensteiner Pfandbriefe with a coupon of 0.65% due April 2031 and CHF 100 million Liechtensteiner Pfandbriefe with a coupon of 0.90% due April 2036. The Liechtensteiner Pfandbriefe are governed by Swiss law, and will be listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange.
