Homburger and Schellenberg Wittmer on Amazon CHF bond issuance

Homburger advised Amazon.com on its inaugural Swiss franc bond offering, while Schellenberg Wittmer acted as Swiss legal counsel to the joint lead managers, in a six-tranche CHF issuance totalling CHF 2.82 billion.

Deal details

The offering comprised six tranches: CHF 900 million of 0.8350% notes due 2029, CHF 585 million of 1.200% notes due 2032, CHF 475 million of 1.4475% notes due 2035, CHF 390 million of 1.6750% notes due 2038, CHF 245 million of 1.9389% notes due 2044, and CHF 225 million of 2.0825% notes due 2051.

BNP Paribas, Paris, Lancy/Geneva Branch acted as representative of the initial purchasers, with Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch, and J.P. Morgan Securities acting as joint book-running managers, alongside eighteen co-managers.
