Baker McKenzie advises CTS on the acquisition of maglab

Baker McKenzie has advised CTS Corporation, a renowned designer and manufacturer of sensors, actuators and electronic components, on the acquisition of Swiss-based maglab, a company with expertise in magnetic system design, primarily focused on custom current sensing and position sensing solutions.

With this purchase, CTS strengthens its electrification portfolio as maglab has in-depth expertise in magnetic system design and current measurement solutions for use in e-mobility, industrial automation and renewable energy applications. This expertise, coupled with CTS’ commercial, technical and operational capabilities will position the company to advance its status as a recognized innovator in electric motor sensing and controls markets.

Founded in 1896, CTS is a leading designer and manufacturer of sensors, actuators and electronic components in North America, Europe and Asia. CTS provides solutions to OEMs in the aerospace, communications, defense, industrial, information technology, medical and transportation markets.
