Baker McKenzie: Luzerner Kantonalbank financing of GarLa Group
Luzerner Kantonalbank acted as arranger, agent, security agent and lender, along with other Swiss and Liechtenstein banks as lender in connection with their EUR 150 million financing of GarLa AcquiCo and its subsidiaries, GarLa Group.
The group is a set of gardening and landscaping companies in the German-speaking part of Switzerland and Germany with a supra-regional network. It currently employs over 780 people at 16 locations.
Baker McKenzie advised the financing parties on all legal and tax aspects of the transaction. Lukas Glanzmann (pictured left) and Markus Wolf (pictured right), both in banking and finance in Zurich, headed the team. It also included Sammy Guidoum, Jan Lusti, and Matteo Ritzinger, all in banking and finance in Zurich, along with Andrea Bolliger in tax in Zurich. Additionally, Matthias Toeke and Diren Aksu, both in banking and finance in Frankfurt, were part of the team.
