Bär & Karrer advises Farner Group on its acquisition of GFD

The Farner group, a portfolio company of Waterland Private Equity, partnered with GFD Gesellschaft für Finanzkommunikation to expand its agency alliance “Team Farner“. Founded in Frankfurt in 1995, GFD is a financial communications consultancy specializing in investor relations, ESG communications, corporate publishing and public relations. The Swiss Group has already bought two German communication agencies this year. Now the third will follow with the help of private equity.

Bär & Karrer acted as legal advisor to the Farner group in this transaction. The team was being co-led by partners Christoph Neeracher (pictured right) and Philippe Seiler (pictured left) and included Benjamin Grunwald and Yascha Fengler (all m&a), Susanne Schreiber, Raoul Stocker, Cyrill Diefenbacher and Julian Hodel (all tax) as well as Fabian Turtschi (notarial services).
