VISCHER advises Battery Ventures on its acquisition of Avrios

As we have informed here, US private equity investor Battery Ventures has acquired Swiss-based SaaS startup Avrios International. Avrios offers a cloud-based fleet management platform, used by more than a thousand customers with around 120,000 vehicles. In addition to Avrios, Battery has also acquired Vimcar from Berlin with the goal to create a large, pan-European player with an integrated, holistic fleet software and services offering.

Founded in 1983 and operating six offices worldwide, Battery Ventures supports companies in sectors including software and services, enterprise infrastructure, online marketplaces, healthcare IT and industrial technology at all phases, from seed and early stage to growth and buyout.

VISCHER advised Battery Ventures in the transaction as Swiss counsel alongside White & Case. Led by partner Benedict F. Christ (pictured), the team included: Alessandro Luca Meyer, Sebastian P. Weber and Dorothea Wirth (all corporate/m&a), Seraina Jenny-Tsering, Balthasar Müller and Christian Schneiter (all banking and finance), Jeannine Dehmelt and Gian Geel (both employment), Dan Pruschy (Intellectual Property), Pauline Pfirter (data & privacy), Christoph Niederer and Patrick Fisch (both tax).
