Bär & Karrer incorporates new professionals to the firm. Claudia Götz Staehelin (pictured left) and Oliver M. Brupbacher (pictured right) will join the firm as partners to reinforce the capabilities in the Basel office. With this new incorporations the firm expects to increase its footprint in both the Internal Investigation field and in a key industry, the Life Sciences and Healthcare sector. Associates Djamila Batache and Marlen Schultze will be joining the firm alongside them.

Claudia Götz Staehelin specialises in internal investigations and assists companies in crisis management. She advises and represents her clients in the areas of Dispute Resolution, White Collar Crime, Pharma Regulatory and Compliance. Based on her experience as former Head of Litigation at Novartis, Götz Staehelin regularly supports companies with multi-jurisdictional projects requiring innovative thinking. She is listed by the most respected international legal directories as one of Switzerland’s leading business lawyers in the areas of Life Sciences and White Collar Crime/Investigations.

Oliver M. Brupbacher advises and represents national and multinational clients, in particular from the Healthcare and Life Sciences sectors, in the areas of Dispute Resolution, Regulatory and Compliance, as well as Data and Digital. He specializes in Internal Investigations, Crisis Management and Litigation, large-scale cross-border proceedings and mutual legal assistance, as well as high-profile regulatory matters, data protection and information governance. Prior to this he worked as former Senior Litigation Counsel, Global Product Lawyer and Head of Global Discovery at Novartis.
