Bär & Karrer strengthens two of its areas of expertise

Andrew M. Garbarski (pictured left) has been appointed new co-head of Bär & Karrer‘s white collar crime practice together with Saverio Lembo. Joel Fischer (pictured right) has also been appointed co-head of the crisis management and internal investigation department together with Andreas Länzlinger and Eric Stupp.

Garbarski specializes in administrative criminal law, international judicial and administrative assistance, as well as financial and commercial litigation and insolvency. He teaches white collar crime and criminal procedure law as Professor at the University of Lausanne and regularly publishes in his practice areas. Garbarski was recently appointed by the Federal Office of Justice (FOJ) as member of the Working Group dealing with the modernisation of the Administrative Criminal Law.

Fischer’s practice focuses on banking and finance, internal investigations and white-collar crime, M&A as well as general corporate and commercial matters. He is also a member of the editorial board of a legal periodical on corporate and capital markets law (Zeitschrift für Gesellschafts- und Kapitalmarktrecht, GesKR) and regularly publishes in his fields of work.
