Elmar Büth named general counsel of Ivoclar Vivadent

Ivoclar Vivadent, a dental company with a comprehensive range of products and system solutions for dental professionals, has appointed Elmar Büth (pictured) as its new general counsel, effective 01 January, 2022.

Elmar Büth will join Ivoclar Vivadent from 3M, the multinational conglomerate corporation, where he is currently serving as general counsel, EMEA, for the healthcare business. During his seven years tenure with 3M, Elmar Büth held various positions of increasing responsibility, including, general counsel EMEA for 3M’s manufacturing & supply chain operations and as general counsel for 3M’s East Region and president of the board of 3M (East). Prior to joining 3M, he served as corporate counsel Europe at manufacturing company Mettler Toledo from 2007 to 2014. Before moving to Switzerland he worked as an in-house lawyer for a group company of Deutsche Telekom in Germany and for law firms and institutions in Düsseldorf, Tokyo, Brussels and New York.
