Financecommunity Week Milán: First Day

Financecommunity Week is LC Publishing Group’s event that brings together the Italian and international financial community in Milan. The fifth edition, which will take place from November 13-17, 2023, will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Milan, which will host conferences, panel discussions and opportunities for debate on the hottest topics in economics and finance throughout the week. Financecommunity Week culminates with the Financecommunity Awards, the gala evening recognizing and rewarding the professionals and teams from banks, investment funds and financial advisors who have distinguished themselves the most over the previous 12 months.

DAY ONE – Monday, November 13, 2023

The opening conference of Financecommunity Week 2023 was entitled “Action plan for the Italian economy”. The events were opened by Aldo Scaringella, CEO of LC Publishing Group, and Emmanuel Conte, Councilor for Budget and Real Estate of the Municipality of Milan. The conference topics were introduced by Nicola Di Molfetta, editor-in-chief of Financecommunity and MAG, the welcome speech by Fabrizio Pagani, senior advisor at Vitale & Co, and the opening speech by Federico Freni, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

This was followed by the first round table of the Week, moderated by Eleonora Fraschini, journalist of Financecommunity.it, and entitled “Financing economic growth and interest rates”. Participants included Gregorio Consoli, Managing Partner of Chiomenti; Giovanna Della Posta, CEO of Invimit Sgr; Fabio Innocenzi, CEO of Banca Finint; Alessandra Ricci, CEO of Sace; and Anna Tavano, Co-Head of Global Banking Continental Europe and Head of Wholesale Banking Italy at HSBC.

After a quick mid-morning coffee break, the conference resumed with the second session, entitled “Business Growth in the Current Economic Context.” Moderated by Eleonora Fraschini of Financecommunity.it, the speakers discussed the current economic contingency. Orlando Barucci, managing partner of Vitale & Co; Pietro Labriola, CEO and managing director of TIM; and Patrizia Micucci, managing director of Neuberger Berman.

To conclude the first morning of Financecommunity Week, a face-to-face meeting was held between Eleonora Fraschini of Financecommunity.it and Francesco Canzonieri, CEO and chairman of the investment and ESG committees of Nextalia SGR.

There were two appointments on the afternoon of the opening day.

The first, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, was entitled “Airports and energy transition: challenges and prospects”. The Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Transport On. Galeazzo Bignami was in charge of making the introductory speech. Panelists were Gonzalo Acha, European head of structured finance infrastructure at Santander; Andrea Andorno, CEO of Sagat Aeroporto di Torino; Alessio Montrella, director of airport investments at Mundys; Pietro Caldaroni, head of communication and institutional relations at ITA Airways; Francesco Lo Passo, principal of Brattle Group.

The second round table, held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., focused on the fiscal proxy 2023. Under the moderation of Roberto Egori, partner and head of taxation at Linklaters Italy, the following speakers discussed the impact of the latest tax reform on business: Diamara Agostinelli, head of taxation at Renantis; Laura Greco, head of taxation at VodafoneAndrea Papi, head of taxation at Generali InvestmentsSilvia Sardi, head of taxation at Ariston Thermo Group; and Giuseppe Zingaro, head of taxation at Unicredit Group.
