Financecommunity Week Milan: Second Day

Financecommunity Week is LC Publishing Group’s event that brings together the Italian and international financial community in Milan. Today was the second day, held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Milan.

SECOND DAY – November 14, 2023

The second day of Financecommunity Week began with a speech by Luigi A. Bianchi, professor of company law at Bocconi University and partner at Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici, who gave an overview of the relationship between Italian companies and the capital market, also in light of recent government action (with reference, for example, to the so-called “ddl Capitali”).

This was followed by a round table on “Foreign investments in Italy: protectionism vs. protagonism”, moderated by Stefano Grassani, partner at Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici, with the participation of Claudio Berretti, managing director of Tamburi Investment Partners; Simone Crolla, managing director of the American Chamber of Commerce of Italy; Paolo Ludovici, partner at Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici; Paolo Ludovici, partner at Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici; Natacha Minniti, managing director and head of 23 Wall Emea, Apac and Latam at JP Morgan; Francesco Moccagatta, managing director for Italy at DC Advisory; and Alberto Ponti, senior partner and head of strategy and business development at F2i.

Partially at the same time, a round table dedicated to the theme “Leadership and Transformation”, moderated by Michela Cannovale, journalist at Financecommunity.it, with the participation of Tommaso Arenare, from Egon Zehnder; Silvia Bassani, from Bank of America; Claudio Morpurgo, from Morpurgo e associati; Karen Nahum, from Gruppo 24 Ore; Carmine Perna, from Mondadori Retail; and Giulia Poli, from Amazon Ads.

After a coffee break, the second session of the morning conference was dedicated to litigation finance. Participating in the round table, under the moderation of Paolo Ludovici, partner at Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici, were: Maurizio Dallocchio, professor of corporate finance at Bocconi University; Genta Hysi, managing director and head of M&A and transaction solutions for Southern Europe at AON; Barbara Napolitano, partner at Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici; Paolo Nicoletti, founder and CEO of Be Cause Sicaf; and Carlo Pavesi, partner at Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici.

In the afternoon there were two events at the Four Seasons in Milan.

The first was dedicated to private equity and ESG, and was moderated by Luca Arnaboldi, of the Carnelutti law firm. Participating in the discussion were Sabrina Cirillo, ESG Director at FSI; Carlo Mammola, Co-Director Italy and Senior Advisor at Montefiore Investment; Tommaso Paoli, CEO of Nuo; and Luca Maria Ravano, CEO of Arcadia sgr.

The second was entitled “How financial sponsors can create value in a difficult macroeconomic environment: Focusing on margins and operational improvement”, and featured Valentina Canalini, partner at Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici; Mara Caverni, founder and managing partner of New Deal Advisors; Eugenio de Blasio, founder and CEO of Green Arrow Capital; Andrea Foti, managing director and commercial director for Emea M&A and transaction solutions at Aon; Stegano Malagoli, partner at Silver Economy Fund – Quadrivio Group; and Claudio Scardovi, managing partner of M&A and private equity at Deloitte Financial Advisory. The speakers’ interventions were moderated by Eleonora Fraschini, journalist at Financecommunity.it.
