Hans-Jakob Diem joins Walder Wyss as new partner

Hans-Jakob Diem has joined Walder Wyss as partner as of 4 September 2023.  Diem has been until its new incorporation, partner at Lenz & Staehelin at the Corporate and M&A practice group in Zurich, team headed by Tino Gaberthüel.

Han-Jakob Diem is regarded as a market-leading expert in Mergers & Acquisitions, corporate law and securities law matters. He has extensive experience in advising clients in acquisitions and disposals, leveraged buy-outs, public tender offers, mergers, spin-offs, takeover battles and proxy fights, both domestic and cross-border. He represents issuers and underwriters in IPOs, rights issues and other capital market transactions and represents companies and investors in takeover and securities law-related proceedings. In addition, he regularly advises boards of directors and executive management teams in corporate governance, corporate reporting and disclosure matters.

Besides his corporate practice, Hans-Jakob Diem lectures corporate and M&A law at the universities of Basel and Zurich and is a regular speaker at conferences, an author of various legal textbooks and a regular contributor in law journals.
