Lenz & Staehelin advises Arkema on divestment of Febex to Prayon

Arkema France, a subsidiary of the Arkema group, a French publicly listed group, leader in the field of specialty materials has completed the divestment of Febex to the Belgian group Prayon
 
Founded in 1917 Febex is a global player in phosphorus derivatives, used primarily in electronics and in the pharmaceuticals industry. Part of Arkema’s Performance Additives business line, Febex reported sales of around €30 million in 2021, with 59 employees and one production site, at Bex in French-speaking Switzerland.
 
Lenz & Staehelin has advised Arkema France in this transaction. The team was led by David Ledermann (corporate and m&a, pictured left) and Benoît Merkt (competition, pictured right) and included, among others, Benjamin Moret and Valentin Muller (corporate and m&a) and Flavio Samson (real estate). Claire Le Louarn, in-house m&a lawyer, was in charge of the project for the Arkema group’s legal department.
