Lenz & Staehelin advises True Ventures on Exnaton investment

True Ventures has made a substantial investment in Exnaton, a Swiss startup developing a billing platform for renewable energies that enables the sharing of surplus solar power within a neighborhood. True Ventures is a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm focused on early stage technology startups.

In addition to the Silicon Valley investment, the ETH spinoff has secured capital from Zurich-based Übermorgen Ventures to drive the expansion of renewable energies. So far, 15 utility companies in Central Europe use the company’s software for energy sharing. During the next months, the startup plans to advance its technology and expand into new European markets.

Lenz & Staehelin has advised True Ventures in this transaction. The team included partner Beat Kühni (corporate/m&a, pictured) as well as Nadja Flühler (IT), Rebecca Rötheli and Xavier Grivel (both corporate/m&a).
