Andreas D. Blattmann appointed on Commission of Mediator SAV Training

Andreas D. Blattmann (pictured), Quadra partner, has been appointed as a member of the Expert Commission Mediation Swiss Bar Association (SAV).

The Swiss Bar Association (SAV) is reorganizing the training required to obtain the title “Mediator SAV“: as of January 2022, it will offer comprehensive specialized training in mediation and ADR methods (Alternative/Amicable/Adequate Dispute Resolution). The Expert Commission mediation will, among other things, conduct the expert discussions with the candidates.

Andreas D. Blattmann

Andreas Blattmann represents clients in complex litigation before state courts, arbitration courts and in public law proceedings. In addition, he advises companies and private individuals in various areas of law: general contract law, media law, competition law, intellectual property and company law, inheritance law.

Andreas Blattmann also works as a part-time substitute judge at various district courts in the canton of Zurich and as a clerk at the Military Appeal Court 2 (military criminal jurisdiction). He also acts as an internal ombudsman in an internationally oriented SME and is asked to act as a mediator in all kinds of disputes.

The Training

The scope is, similar to a training for a specialist lawyer, 120 hours, plus necessary preparation and follow-up. The course is characterized by its interactive training concept and its high level degree of practical relevance. Successful completion of this training (including a written paper and professional discussion) is a prerequisite for obtaining the title.
