Nadia Ohlhoff-Smahi Vice-President of the International Arbitration Commission AIJA

Nadia Ohlhoff-Smahi has been appointed Vice-President of the AIJA International Arbitration Commission with effect from 25 August 2023. Nadia is a senior associate in the Geneva office of Lenz & Staehelin, where she practices in the areas of arbitration and litigation. She speaks English, French and German and holds degrees from the University of Geneva and Stockholm University.

Her practice focuses on international and domestic arbitration as well as cross-border and domestic litigation. She represents parties and acts as arbitrator in numerous arbitrations, both ad hoc and institutional. She also represents and advises clients in civil litigation, including in relation to the challenge, recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards and court decisions in Switzerland. In addition, she has experience in representing and advising clients in intellectual property matters, in particular trademarks, patents, copyrights, designs and unfair competition disputes.
