NKF advises Bahnhof Apotheke Langnau on its sale to Galenica

Niederer Kraft Frey has advised the shareholders of Bahnhof Apotheke Langnau on the sale of 100 per cent of the shares to Galenica, a fully-integrated healthcare provider in Switzerland.

Bahnhof Apotheke Langnau is the Swiss pioneer in cannabis treatments. With this transaction, Galenica is acquiring Cannaplant, the leading provider of formulations for medicinal cannabis products. This enables the listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange company Galenica to offer many patients and their doctors valuable treatments. Pharmacy owner and pioneer in cannabis treatments, Manfred Fankhauser, and his wife, Barbara, will remain in management positions at the company. Together, Cannaplant and the pharmacy generated sales of around CHF 13 million in the last financial year. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
