NKF advises Transgourmet on the acquisition of POMONA

Niederer Kraft Frey advised Transgourmet Switzerland, the second biggest wholesaler in Europe, on the acquisition of POMONA SUISSE. With this acquisition, the company is strengthening its expertise in innovative product ranges as well as in sales and logistics.

Transgourmet Holding is a subsidiary of the Coop Group, and is active in the cash & carry and wholesale supplies market in Germany, Poland, Romania, Spain, France and Austria. The Coop Group operates in the retail as well as wholesale and production sectors. In the retail sector, operates supermarkets and various specialist formats in Switzerland. In wholesale, the Group operates through Transgourmet. With more than 94’000 employees, Coop generates net sales of approximately CHF 34.2 billion.

POMONA SUISSE is a wholesaler with a wide range of products for the gastronomy in German- and French-speaking Switzerland and it includes the companies DMFD (trading under the brands Dupasquier and MultiFood), Gastromer, MultiFood and E.J. Gmür.
