According to his LinkedIn profile, Martin Oesch (pictured) is starting a new position as senior vice president, general counsel & chief compliance officer, and member of the Executive Committee of SGS.

Oesch’s career path

After 13 years at Barry Callebaut, where he started as legal counsel and rose to become group general counsel and corporate secretary, he writes in his farewell letter to colleagues: “Saying goodbye to the exciting world of cocoa and chocolate and my fantastic colleagues evokes a bittersweet mix of emotions […] A special shout out goes to my incredible team. Together, we’ve played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s direction, contributing to numerous M&A and expansion initiatives and enhancing the efficiency and efficacy of legal & compliance service delivery”.

Prior to that, he was in private practise working as associate in Pestalozzi Attorneys at Law and as senior associate in Schellenberg Wittmer.
