Steiner sells development project Widacher to Fortimo. The advisors

The real estate development company Steiner is selling the entire Widacher project in Fischbach-Göslikon, which is being implemented in three phases and will comprise 165 units in total, to property investor and developer Fortimo Invest by means of a share deal. Fortimo will start realising the first phase (for which planning permission has already been granted) next year.

Baker McKenzie Switzerland advised Steiner on all legal aspects of this share deal. Among other particularities, the transaction was subject to a partial carve-out of agricultural land and a respective approval by the agricultural authorities under agricultural land law (bäuerliches Bodenrecht).

The Baker McKenzie team was led by Alexander Wyss (partner, Zurich, pictured) and Charles Gschwind (partner, Geneva/Zurich, pictured) and included Basil Kirby (associate, Zurich) and René Kühn (trainee lawyer, Zurich).
