Swisscanto invest in Sulzer & Schmid Laboratories series B financing round

Walder Wyss has acted as legal counsel to Swisscanto Invest by Zürcher Kantonalbank in connection with the series B financing round of Sulzer & Schmid Laboratories, an independent Swiss technology company of next-generation technology for the inspection of rotor blades.

Walder Wyss acted with a team led by Alex Nikitine (partner, corporate/ m&a, pictured) and Dimitrios Berger (senior associate, corporate/m&a) and Hugh Reeves (managing associate, ip/it).

As per Sulzer & Schmid press release, the capital raised will be used to expand the team, with a focus on sales and continued investment in the platform technology to provide software as a service. It will also open opportunities to target offshore wind markets and as well as additional segments.
