Vischer as legal counsel to Ubitec on the acquisition by Umb Solution

Ubitec, a developer of software solutions for digitization, was taken over by Swiss IT services provider Umb Solution. Umb is strengthening its range of services for the digitization of applications and processes by adding ubitec’s expertise.

Ubitec founder Patrick Brazzale assumes the leadership of the software solutions team and with this step also joins the leadership board of Umb. To ensure that the Ubitec team can continue to develop its full potential in the future, the entire management will be involved in Umb’s leadership.

Vischer acted as legal counsel for Ubitec, with comprehensive legal advice on the transaction. The team was led by Gian-Andrea Caprez (partner, corporate/m&a, pictured) and comprised of Christoph Niederer (partner, tax), Rebekka Keller (senior associate, corporate/m&a) and Anna Züst (junior associate, corporate/m&a).

Umb is expanding its services in the field of software development and cloud migration, not only through the acquisition of ubitec but also through the acquisition of meshTec, an IT company based in Zurich. With the closing of the two deals, Umb further extended its service portfolio in the field of holistic digital business transformation. Umb has now a team of over 500 colleagues at ten Swiss locations and offices in Madrid and Vietnam.
