Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte announces changes to their team

Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte has announced the joining of Daniel Küpfer (pictured above) as a partner along with the promotion of Simon M. Hohler from associate to counsel. Both appointments were effective January 2021.

Daniel Küpfer

Advises companies on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters. He focuses on national and cross-border M&A transactions. His many years of expertise include also mergers, spin-offs, public offers, Restructuring, relocation of headquarters and private individuals Equity transactions and the design of succession plans. In addition, Küpfer direct contact for business families, private individuals as well as Start-ups in legal matters.

Küpfer has served as a Partner at Bär & Karrer after working as an Associate for Meyerlustenberger Lachenal (mll). Hohler was also the co-founder and CEO of Arpanet, was the owner of an e-business consulting firm and was an advisor at the Basel Institute on Governance.

Simon M. Hohler

Specializes in advising on contentious matters and managing commercial law Litigation before arbitration tribunals and state courts specialized. He also acts as an arbitrator in institutional and ad hoc arbitration proceedings. The focus of his work is on disputes of general contract law, in international Commercial and business law, in investment law, in Enforcement law and in connection with M&A transactions. He also has experience in sports law matters.

Simon joined Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte in 2016 as an Associate and in January 2021 was promoted t Counsel. Prior to that, he was an Associate at Blum&Grob Attorneys at Law, Trainee Clerk at Cantonal Court of Zug and a junior Lawyer at Walder Wyss.
