TITAN Aviation Fuels acquired AKRYL

TITAN Aviation Fuels, one of the largest suppliers of aviation fuel products in the United States, has acquired AKRYL, a Geneva-based aviation fuel reseller with a worldwide digital fuel procurement platform.

Established in the US market, Titan will use AKRYL to expand its aviation fuel supply footprint to Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. The addition will allow the expansion of the TITAN Contract Fuel Program to U.S. and Canadian based customers traveling abroad.

AKRYL has an online digital fuel procurement platform that allows flight departments to view fuel pricing in real time and make purchases from anywhere. This programme can be integrated with a customers operations software to enable a streamlined and efficient way to manage their fueling operations.  The Swiss company will be rebranded as Titan Aviation Fuels, and will maintain offices in Dublin, Ireland and Geneva. Co-founded by Daniel Coetzer and Valerie Bouthiaux-Coetzer over 25 years ago, Mr. Coetzer said: “We are pleased to partner with Titan and expand offerings for both our customer bases. Titan is a well-respected industry leader, and we look forward to growing together.”

Borel & Barbey advised for the acquisition. The team was led by Arnaud Cywie (counsel, tax, pictured right) and Alexandre Gallopin (partner, corporate/m&a, pictured left) with the support of Flaminia Manghina.
