VetPartners expands into Switzerland by acquiring Swissvet Group

VetPartners expands its European portfolio with the acquisition of Swiss-based Swissvet Group.

Founded 2016, Swissvet Group employs more than 120 people in 12 veterinary practices in French-speaking Switzerland.

Florent Bourachot, one of the co-founders of Swissvet group and CEO said: “By being part of a larger group, our teams will benefit from access to knowledge and data from across VetPartners with training and continuing education opportunities.”

VetPartners was founded in 2015 and employing more than 7,000 people across nearly 550 sites. The acquisition marks further European growth by VetPartners, which already has practices in the UK, France, Italy and Germany, and is preparing for further expansion in Spain.

Kellerhals Carrard acted as legal counsel to VetPartners in this acquisition. The team consisted of senior associate Michèle Remund (m&a and tax, pictured), counsel Kathrin Enderli (m&a and corporate) as well as partner Thomas Bähler (m&a).
