Vivian Osayande joins Johnson & Johnson as Global Leader

In a recent announcement on LinkedIn, Vivian Osayande (pictured) shared her excitement about joining Johnson & Johnson (J&J) as the Global Leader for the Supply Chain Legal Group. In her new role, Osayande will play a pivotal role in shaping the legal support for the end-to-end supply of all innovative medicines across various platforms and geographies. 

Her responsibilities encompass leading and shaping the delivery of an innovative global legal strategy and providing legal support for Janssen Supply Chain, which includes the entire portfolio of large and small molecules, as well as Janssen Advanced Therapies, covering emerging modalities like cell and gene therapy, radio-pharmaceuticals, and vaccines on a global scale. 

Osayande will oversee a dedicated and high-performing team of lawyers and professional staff, setting an example with her purpose-driven leadership. Additionally, she will be an integral part of the J&J Pharma Legal Leadership Team and the J&J Global Supply Chain Leadership Team. 

Osayande brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having served at Novartis for a decade before joining Johnson & Johnson. During her tenure at Novartis, she held several high-responsibility positions, including Head Legal, Africa Cluster, where she provided strategic leadership and legal support across 46 African countries. Her diverse roles also included Global Lead Counsel for Ophthalmology, Novartis Head Legal for Asia-Pacific Middle East & Africa (APMA) Operations, and her most recent position as Global Policy Director, where she played a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and implementing ethical standards and guardrails that contributed to Novartis’ ethical culture transformation. 

Osayande’s extensive experience and leadership will undoubtedly make a significant impact at Johnson & Johnson as she takes on this important role within the company.
