Walder Wyss advises Distalmotion on USD 70m term loan facility

Walder Wyss has advised Lausanne-based MedTech company Distalmotion, as Swiss legal counsel, on a USD 70 million term loan facility provided by healthcare investment firm Perceptive Advisors.

Use of proceeds

Distalmotion will use the new funding mainly to accelerate US commercial adoption of DEXTER, its soft tissue robotic surgery system. The funds will also support ongoing clinical and product development initiatives.

The US expansion remains focused on the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) market, a segment of surgical care driven by the ongoing shift toward efficient outpatient surgery.
