Walder Wyss advises the Swiss Insurance Association SIA on the HIS

The Swiss Insurance Association SIA represents the interests of the private insurance industry on a national and international level. The association has around 75 direct insurers and reinsurers. In order to support insurance companies in the fight against insurance fraud and to protect the community of insured persons, SIA is putting a notification and information system for Swiss property insurers (HIS) into operation. It was supported in an advisory capacity in the conception and implementation by the FDPIC and the Secretariat of the Competition Commission WEKO.

Walder Wyss advised and represented the SIA on the conception of the HIS and the coordination with the WEKO and the FDPIC. The team consisted of David Vasella (Partner, Technology & IP), Monique Sturny (Partner, Regulatory & Competition – pictured) and Christine Schweikard (Associate, Technology & IP).
