Wenger Vieli advises Akina on its pre-seed round

The Swiss ETH spin off Akina receives CHF 1,6 million in pre seed capital. Incorporated by two former members of the SMS Lab, Florian Haufe and Michele Xiloyannis in 2021 after years of research in the areas of rehabilitation technology and robotics, the startup develops intelligent medical software to support patients in independent physiotherapy. Akina is developing gamified AI software to support musculoskeletal patients during physiotherapy at home. In the pre-seed round, Akina was able to attract well-known investors such as Ertan Wittwer (Bestsmile, Hair & Skin), Philip Magoulas (Zalando, Bestsmile, Hair & Skin) and Nikolaus Nieder (Hair & Skin). The capital is to be used to complete the first product and prepare for market entry in 2023.

Wnger Vieli has advised Akina on all legal aspects from their Satrt-up Desk. The team was formed by partner Michael Baier (venture capital / m&a, pictured) and Dominique Mattmann (associate, venture capital / m&a).
