Wenger Vieli hires Thomas Steiner as counsel
Thomas Steiner (pictured) has joined Wenger Vieli as counsel, adding to the firm’s antitrust and competition practice as well as its data, privacy, media and technology group. Steiner moves from Laux Law in Zurich.
Practice focus
Steiner’s practice focuses at the intersection of law, business and technology, concentrating on antitrust and competition law as well as data and privacy law.
Career to date
Since June 2020, he has served as senior advisor and partner at Laux Lawyers in Zurich.
Before that, he spent close to three years at Vischer in Zurich, joining in September 2017 as Senior Associate in the firm’s Data & Privacy and Antitrust & Competition practice, and moving up to Managing Associate in July 2018, a role he held until May 2020.
From March to August 2017, he worked at UBS in Zurich as Litigation & Investigations Counsel.
Earlier still, he spent two and a half years at Vischer, first joining in September 2014 as an Associate in the firm’s Antitrust & Competition and ICT practice groups, before being promoted to Senior Associate in the Competition & Privacy/ICT team in January 2016, a position he held until February 2017.
