Wenger Vieli strengthens its team with new promotions

Wenger Vieli strengthens its team with four new promotions: Jonas Bühlmann (senior associate to counsel, pictured left), Meltem Steudler (associate to senior associate, pictured centre), Sabine Taxer (associate to senior associate, pictured centre-right) and Alessa Waibel (associate to senior associate, pictured right).

Jonas Bühlmann joined Wenger Vieli in 2021 as a certified tax expert and advises in particular corporate clients in all tax matters. He specializes in corporate acquisitions, reorganizations, structuring, and real estate matters. This also includes restructurings, advising on employee participations as well as tax aspects on the shareholders level. Previously, he worked for several years as a tax advisor for a Big4 company, where he also started his professional career in the audit department.

She specializes in private law disputes between financial service providers and their clients and represents financial service providers in both civil and criminal proceedings. Before working as a lawyer, she was a research assistant at the University of Zurich. She has written a doctoral thesis on a subject of private banking law and regularly publishes and lectures in this field.

Meltem Steudler joined the firm in 2020. Her practice focuses on litigation and banking and financial services. She specializes in private law disputes between financial service providers and their clients and represents financial service providers in both civil and criminal proceedings. Before working as a lawyer, she was a research assistant at the University of Zurich. She has written a doctoral thesis on a subject of private banking law and regularly publishes and lectures in this field.

Sabine Taxer completed her studies at the University of Zurich and worked as a law clerk at the District Court and at the Labor Court of Zurich. Shortly after she became a junior lawyer at Niedermann Attorneys at Law in Zurich. Also as a junior lawyer and later as attorney at law she worked at SEITZ/RA, a law firm with notary’s office, in Zurich and Jona. In March 2019, she joined Wenger Vieli in Zug and Zurich, where she advises national and international clients in all matters of labor as well as migration law and represents them before authorities and courts.

Alessa Waibel  has been an attorney at the firm since 2020 and advises clients primarily in the areas of financing, contract law, banking law, corporate and commercial law. She previously worked as a junior lawyer at BGPartner and as a legal counsel at Fisch Asset Management in Zurich.
