Andreas Furrer new Special Counsel at MLL Legal

Andreas Furrer has been appointed Special Counsel at MLL Legal since 1 October 2023. Furrer is an attorney and part-time professor at the University of Lucerne for private law, comparative law, private international law and European law, as well as founder and head of the Competence Centre for Logistics and Transport Law. His professional focus is on DLT, AI and Web3/Metaverses as well as transport and logistics law.

Andreas Furrer was a partner in MME Legal for many years, where he built up the areas of transport and logistics as well as export control and managed various DLT projects. He will be based in MLL Legal’s Zurich office and will work with the Regulatory/Fintech/DLT.

From 2020 to 2023, he acted as CLO in a blockchain startup and advises various digital startups. Through his broad academic, legal and entrepreneurial experience, he provides sound advice to companies and startups, in particular in setting up and developing digital projects and expanding entrepreneurial business areas in Web3 and Metaverses. He also advises companies on their business operations in the United Arab Emirates, where he works with a successful network of local experts.
