CMS in the acquisition of computer game Krunker.io by FRVR

Portugal based game platform, FRVR has completed the acquisition of the free-to-play first-person shooter Krunker.io.

Started by Swiss game developer Sidney de Vries in 2018 and already played by over 200 million unique players worldwide, Krunker is a shooter that features full modding support that can be played anywhere, without having to install the computer game.

An international team led by managing partner Stefan Brunnschweiler (CMS Switzerland, corporate/m&a, pictured) in cooperation with CMS UK and MinterEllison in Australia has advised FRVR on all matters relating to the acquisition. The CMS Switzerland team included partner Dirk Spacek (IT/IP), partner Tina Balzli (fintech & blockchain), partner Mark Cagienard (tax), counsel Simone Brauchbar Birkhäuser (IP), associates Alexandra Stocker and Andrea Relly (both corporate/m&a), associate Christina Winter (employment). The team also included relationship partner Anthony Waller (corporate/m&a, CMS United Kingdom)
